We love hearing about our hardworking alums who are making a name for themselves in their various career paths, especially in areas that are notoriously difficult to achieve recognition.

This year has been big for playwright Vivian Barnes, ’16, who hasn’t slowed down since graduation. Her latest work, “Are You There?” has been produced and commissioned by the Actors Theatre of Louisville as part of their 2020 Humana Festival. She also was a finalist for the 2019 Bay Area Playwrights Festival and the National Playwrights Conference at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, as well as an honorable mention for the 2019 Kilroys List. 

We are so proud she got her start at Richmond as a theatre arts major!
