We can always count on Spiders to be ahead of the curve. One of our own, Harper Robinson, ’18, was one of the select few chosen to join NYU Long Island School of Medicine’s inaugural class this fall.

Robinson, who was a biology major, is one of just 24 accomplished students out of 2,500 applicants who are embarking on a new journey toward primary care. NYU’s second medical school is the only accelerated three-year MD program focused on internal and community medicine, pediatrics, OB/GYN, and surgery.

“NYU-trained physicians are among the world’s most highly respected; this new cohort will expand the good that can be done by our medical graduates,” NYU President Andrew Hamilton said in a news release announcing the program.

Congratulations, Harper! We’re proud of you for representing UR in this impressive class!
