Our Spiders who’ve made a name for themselves in the creative field continue to inspire us through their thoughtful projects and the stories they share with the world. Producer Chad Thompson, ’94, has an impressive career in film, and his documentary about Pulitzer Prize-winning author Toni Morrison is now in theaters across the country.

Morrison recently passed away and the film, “Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am,” explores her life and career through interviews with the likes of Oprah Winfrey, activist Angela Davis, photographer Fran Lebowitz, and more.

"I think everyone who sees the film just comes away ... understanding what a powerful storyteller is, and in this case with the documentary, she’s telling her own life story," Thompson said in a recent article. "And I think certainly when you see the film you’re entertained, and educated and enlightened, but hopefully you’re inspired, too, to reread Toni."

We’re looking forward to seeing your work, Chad!
