We had a feeling that our newest Spiders heading to campus this fall would be ahead of the game — and lacrosse player Sophia DiCenso just proved us right.

DiCenso, ’23, has been selected for the final U.S. Women’s National Lacrosse Under-19 Team. Before heading to Richmond, she’ll compete in the world championship in Canada. The United States is looking to reclaim gold after four consecutive world championships ended with a loss to Canada in the gold medal game in 2015 at the last U19 world championship in Scotland.

We can’t wait for Sophia to wear her red and blue in just a few months!
