At Richmond, we’re always focused on offering the best education for our determined Spiders. And we just don’t mean our undergrads.

Starting this fall, we’re launching a Master of Teaching degree through the School of Professional and Continuing Studies. We’re excited to build on our teacher licensure program, which has been prepping students interested in transitioning into education for nearly 30 years.

“Teacher shortages are pervasive throughout our country and our state,” said Laura Kuti, assistant chair of teacher education at UR. “This program aims to equip more teachers with the knowledge and experience they need to not only transition into education, but to achieve sustained success in the classroom.”

We’re beyond thrilled to build on the success of our current program, and can’t wait to welcome future “Teachers of the Year” this fall!
