As we celebrated the Class of 2019’s send-off at Commencement, we also took time to honor outgoing dean Nancy Bagranoff’s significant contributions to the Robins School of Business. Lucky for us, she’s not going too far because she’s staying on to teach accounting!

To say her innovation over the past nine years propelled us into a new echelon of business schools is an understatement. Her lengthy resume includes spearheading the creation of the EY Innovation Lab, establishing an entrepreneurship program, creating a business analytics concentration, strengthening the Robins Executive Speakers Series, and growing full-time faculty — which all add up to increasing our national ranking. Her influence expanded beyond campus, too, as she’s served on numerous national professional boards, dedicating her career to helping and encouraging others to pursue meaningful careers.

“Under her energetic direction, the business school has grown the number of students, expanded its academic programs, and implemented new initiatives that better educate our students and prepare them for satisfying careers,” Executive Vice President and Provost Jeff Legro said in a recent interview.

We can’t say enough about Dr. Bagranoff and everything she’s done for Richmond. We are beyond thankful for her leadership!
