Alumni network grows with impressive new grads

Spider Pride

We’ve spent the whole year cheering our students and their incredible accomplishments, and as they crossed the stage during last weekend’s Commencement, we were excited to welcome them to the Spider Family’s next stage — our strong alumni network.

More than 1,100 ambitious Spiders are spreading out around the world from Boston to Beijing to embark on graduate school programs at the likes of Princeton and Johns Hopkins, and taking on jobs at top-notch companies like Microsoft and Ernst & Young. We know we’re biased, but these places are lucky to have Richmond grads joining their teams.

“We began our journey as individuals sitting in this same arena, but, overtime, through meaningful conversations about our differences and similarities, we grew into an interconnected web, setting the foundation for those ahead of us on the shoulders of those who came behind,” student speaker Kiana Gunn, ’19, said during the ceremony.

We’re proud of you, Class of 2019! Wherever you’re heading, don’t forget to plan a trip home, and stay in touch!
