We’ve loved watching our student-athletes succeed all year, and we were particularly excited to honor our stand-outs this week at the SPIDY Awards. The latest reason to cheer comes from our swim and dive team because junior Hannah Gouger has just qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympic Trials!

"I'm really excited to have made the cut this early in the long course season,” Gouger said.  “Being able to make it at a meet in Richmond is special … now it's back to training hard and making the improvements I need in order to keep getting better.”

Gouger's qualifying time is on the heels of her performance as the seventh-ever Spider to compete at the NCAA Championships this past March.

This is big news for our swim and dive program and we’re so excited to support Hannah!
