Leadership permeates campus, which shouldn’t be a surprise since we created the nation’s first leadership school. Our students, faculty, and staff set the bar for others — and we don’t hesitate to sing their praises.

Just this week, professor Todd Lookingbill received a national honor for his leadership in landscape ecology. The 2019 Distinguished Service Award from the U.S. Regional Association of the International Association for Landscape Ecology recognizes those who have contributed exceptionally to both the organization and field.

“One of the distinguishing features of our society is the attention that it pays towards student engagement in the science of landscape ecology and the management of landscapes,” Lookingbill said. “It has been a great pleasure to be involved in this work, and a great honor to be recognized by colleagues for these efforts.”

Congratulations, Dr. Lookingbill!
