Alum launches ethically minded global company

Entrepreneurship runs through Richmond — and not just inside the b-school.
Take leadership alum Djordje Hinic, ’13, for instance. Just last year, the Serbian native launched a company called Perpetuum Projects to help other businesses succeed — without ignoring ethics or sustainable practices. His business consulting company leverages his entrepreneurial spirit, business development expertise, and passion for philanthropy.
“Through Perpetuum Projects, I am helping organizations achieve their global ambitions while ensuring the world is becoming a better place,” Hinic said.
He’s helped develop a sub-Saharan clean water distribution project, as well as new sailboat technology focused on sustainability and zero pollution. His breadth of expertise harkens back to his days at UR.
“[Jepson] gets you out of your comfort zone and pushes you to figure out what you’re passionate about; then you add an ethical focus to what you’re doing,” he said. “I found my passion in sales, persuasion, and negotiation. Once I figured this out, I no longer had to ‘work’ — I started getting paid for my hobby.”
Congratulations on all of your success, Djordje!
