Our students never have a dull moment, especially those who work tirelessly as Collegian editors and reporters. Their speedy reporting garnered attention and was featured on a national level this week — and we couldn’t be more proud of our students’ hard work.

NBC Nightly News led with coverage of Richmond-area storms Monday night, using some of the live-tweeting that Collegian staffers issued from campus tornado shelters. Thankfully, UR was not greatly impacted, but after nearly three hours of back-to-back tornado warnings, it was a tense situation for all. We’re proud of our students who worked swiftly to report in real time.
