State-of-the-art upgrades await students

Even though it’s been a bit quiet this summer without the usual flurry of student activity, campus has been pretty busy getting exciting upgrades in a few key locations. We love being part of a community that constantly strives to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to both academics and facilities.

On the Westhampton side of campus, the Parsons Music Library is now open in its newly renovated space in Webb Tower. With a considerably larger footprint, there is now a bigger studio area, a greater capacity for books and scores, a new patio, and more. It’s a resource for everyone in the Spider Family, as well as the local community.

As for athletics, Crenshaw Field, the home to Spider field hockey, got a big upgrade with new AstroTurf and an underground irrigation system. It’s one of the best facilities in the Atlantic 10 conference, says Athletic Director John Hardt.

Over in the Robins Center, the new Student-Athlete Performance Center encompasses sports medicine, strength and conditioning, an equipment room, the football locker room, the men’s lacrosse locker room, and the creation of men’s and women’s coaches’ locker rooms.

Lastly, all 10 courts in the Westhampton Tennis Complex have been resurfaced, a new scoreboard has been installed, and the exterior has been redesigned for matches.

We are ready for our Spiders to see everything campus has to offer in just a few weeks!
