Alum selected to lead VA bar association

Spider Pride

Spiders tend to take their studies one step — or should it be 10? — further than the rest, so it’s no surprise when one of our alums translates that dedication to their careers. A recent example coming out of the Law School is Veronica Brown-Moseley, L’14, who was selected to lead a historic bar association as its new president.

By day, she’s a practicing bankruptcy attorney with the Boleman Law Firm. In her spare time, she’s now heading up the Hill Tucker Bar Association, one of the oldest historically African-American bar associations in Virginia. Brown-Moseley’s new role will help guide the group that consists of legal practitioners, judges, law professors, in-house counsel, politicians and law school students. As if that weren’t enough, she is also the co-founder of Brighter Tomorrows Begin Today, a nonprofit organization that helps people achieve their academic and professional goals.

We are so proud she is representing a Richmond education in her role. Congratulations, Veronica!
