From robust career services offerings to lifelong relationships with faculty mentors, Richmond works hard to prepare students for life after graduation. And The Wall Street Journal just affirmed that work, ranking UR No. 61 on their list of 1,000 top colleges.

This year, Richmond jumped 13 spots in the rankings, which emphasize how well a college will prepare students for their futures. If you’ve ever heard President Crutcher speak, you’ve likely heard him tout the importance of the value that a Richmond education brings to UR alumni well beyond their four years ’mid the pines and rolling hills.

And now, The Wall Street Journal’s survey results confirm what we already know: Richmond provides an environment where exceptional students are surrounded by peers who inspire and motivate. Ask any Spider, and they’ll tell you that there’s just something in the bricks that makes you want to work harder and be better.

Students also agreed that their education prepares them for their careers, and they reported that they would choose UR again if given the opportunity to start over.

We already knew Richmond was a special place, but validation never gets old.
